He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shipp and Willie Mae Lucus Shipp; his brother Howard Shipp; and his wife Brenda Evans Shipp. He is survived by: his sons, David Shipp of Concord, NC, Tommy Shipp (Crystal) of Concord, NC, Rodney Shipp of Concord, NC, Michael Shipp (Sheila) of Rutherfordton, NC and Aaron Shipp (Suzette) of Harrisburg, NC; his siblings, Carolyn Shipp Allen of Concord, NC, Charles Shipp (Mable) of Detroit, MI, David Shipp (Cassandra) of Fayetteville, NC, Frederick Shipp (Trena) of Landis, NC and Jeffrey Shipp (Michele) of Kannapolis, NC; his uncle Wilbert Lucas of Concord, NC; his aunt Blanche Davis of Harrisburg, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Evans of Durham, NC and Delores Harrison (Jim) of Burlington, NJ.
