He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hentschel and Paul Hentschel; and his brother Lance Corporal Robert E. Hentschel. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth M. Hentschel and Lawrence Hentschel; his siblings, Peter Hentschel, Mary Hentschel, Rosemary Hentschel, Bernadette Hentschel, Alice Hentschel and Amy Blum (Hentschel); and his niece Nicole Bruno.
