He was predeceased by : his parents, Willian Alvin Hatley Sr. and Dora Faggart Hatley. He is survived by : his sister Gail Beaver of Mooresville, NC; and his cousins, Wayne Rhodes of Concord, NC, Gary Norris of Concord, NC., Rick Grochoske of Concord, NC. and Phyllis Jessup of Concord, NC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, 950 Bradley Street, Concord NC 28025.
