It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Herbert Sherrill of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Frank Sherrill and Bertha Rena Hollar Sherrill; and his siblings, Coyt Sherrill, Floyd Sherrill, Marvin Sherrill, Dewey Sherrill, Dan Sherrill, Glenn Sherrill, Mabel Bolch, Katie Teague and Lucille Punch.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Joplin Sherrill; his sons, Patrick Sherrill (Cheryl) of Claremont and Craig Sherrill (Crystal) of Claremont; his sister Rena Bowers of High Point; his grandchildren, Jackson Sherrill, Andrew Sherrill and Jordan Sherrill; and also Morgan Lane.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (5759 Bolick Rd, Claremont, NC 28610). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
