David Burl Mize Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Burl Mize of Conover, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint David leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burl Mize and Annie Lee Lilly. He is survived by: his daughter Charlene Shatley (Billy); his grandchildren, Evan (Morgan), Matthew (Sophie) and Makenzi Stillwell; his great grandchild Coleson Shatley; and his stepchildren, Mike Hartley and Lynne Edwards.
