She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Canipe and Daisy Swink Canipe; and her siblings, Earl Canipe, Thomas Canipe, Nancy Sigmon and Rosa Lee Short.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Walker of Casar, Sandra Walker of Casar and Debbie Wray of Shelby; and her siblings, Burl Canipe of Conover, Sherman Canipe of Conover, James Canipe of Conover, Sara Houston of Conover and Maggie Smith of Conover. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
