He was predeceased by: his parents, William George Lambert and Edna Lambert; his wife Luanne Hollar Lambert; his son Michael Lynn Lambert; his great grandchild Michael Andrew Fender; and his brothers, James, Ralph, Russell, Harvey and Larry Lambert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janie Lambert and Faye Lambert; his stepchildren, Hope Rudisill, Lee Sims (Talisa) and Dana Martin; his grandchildren, Jonathon Fender (Patty), Michael "Stiny" Nelson, Jr., Austin Sims, Nathan Sims, Ashlyn Sims, Anthony Coffey, Adeley Dellinger, Laurel Martin and Ella Martin; his siblings, Shirley Carver Reep, Mark Fender and Benny Love (Patsy); and the mother of his children Mary Jane Canipe Lambert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jack Bass Memorial Building of Bass-Smith Funeral Home (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
