We bid farewell to Gilda Pennell (Conover, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 19, 2025 at the age of 94. Gilda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Pennell; her son Alan Pennell; and her siblings, Myrtle Austin, Arthur, Davidson Deal and Cy.
She is survived by: her sister Linda Deal Baker; her sons, Randy Pennell and Mark Pennell; her grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Brittany, Cody, Logan, Saryn, Veronica, Reese, Rane and Reid; her great grandchildren, Audrey, Adylin, Clara, Mila of Cayson, RJ and David; and her friends, Bob Tannehill, Sherri Frazier, Kim Harshaw, Hollie Williamson, Sandy Baucom, Scott Mason, Connor Wilson, Abigail Deziel and Krystal Collins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Conover First Methodist Church (410 1st Ave N, Conover, NC 28613).
