He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vernon Hedrick and Alice Marie Isenhour Hedrick; his wife Mavis Boston Hedrick; his siblings, Coyte Hedrick, Linda Hedrick, Polly Pope and Sue Hursey; and his daughter Heidi Jonas.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Ericka Krueger (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Emmy Krueger of Newton and Grady of Newton.
