He is survived by: his wife Loretta Morgan Wells; his son Jonathan; his son-in-law David Wells; his son Joseph; his daughter-in-law Emma Wells; his stepdaughter Tammy Shaffer; his niece Susan "Margueritte" Cox; his grandsons, Noah Wells and Jonah Wells; and his stepgrandsons, Earl Adam Hefner and Patton Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ (217 2nd Ave NE, Conover, NC 28613). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery (2628 Liledoun Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
