With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Ann Herman Van Horne of Conover, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Washington Herman and Clara Marie Lail Herman; her brothers, Clyde Lee Herman (Becky) and Dale Edward Herman (Elsie); and her siblings-in-law, Neil Bumgarner and Dot Herman.
She is survived by: her husband John Preston Van Horne, Jr.; her daughters, Julie Connor (Tracy) and Jana Brown; her siblings, Paul Herman and Ellen Bumgarner; and her grandchildren, Brittany Connor, Matthew Connor and Janelle Brown.
