He was predeceased by: his parents, Oklis Dempsey Dillard and Carrie Eleanor Pollard Dillard; and his former wife Kathleen Harwell Dillard. He is survived by: his wife Linda Elliott Dillard; his children, Joseph Chadwick Dillard and Christina Eleanor Dillard Sigmon (Scott Miller Sigmon) of Newton; his grandchildren, Lauren Dillard, Meredith Dillard, Hunter Sigmon (Clowee Younce), Holden Sigmon, Hayden Sigmon and Cole Dillard; his stepchildren, James Dean Elliott (Alicia Elliott) of Conover, Edward Cameron Elliott of Conover and Melia Elliott Coffey (Cliff Coffey) of Greenville, NC.; his stepgrandchildren, Adam Cameron Elliott, Chelsea Elliott Perkins, Greyson Elliott Coffey, Olivia-Grace Abagail Coffey, James William Elliott, Anna Elizabeth Elliott and Sophia Coffey Lyles (Michael Lyles); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Phoebe Elliott, Nathanyel Perkins, Elliott Jay Lyles and Jossette Lyles.
