She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Propst Sr.; her son James Edward Propst Jr. (Sharon Conley) of Hickory; her brothers, Luther Lohr Jr. and Charles Lee Buck Young; her brothers-in-law, William Propst, Marvin Propst and Jerry Propst; and her sisters, Ella Young, Kathleen Young Little, Lillie Mae Young Green and Virginia Young Shuford.
She is survived by: her children, Jacoshio Edwin Propst (Stephanie Shade) of Conover, Tyjuan Propst (Cindy) of Greensboro, Bridgette Lynnette Ingram (Rodrick Hester) of Conover and Beverly Lee Wilson (Lindsey) of Charlotte; her brothers-in-law, Robert Franklin Propst, Sr. of Newton and Charles Sterling Propst (Barbara) of Newton; her sisters, Margie Barbara Propst of Hickory and Betty Schenck of Hickory; her sister-in-law Jean Lohr of Brooklyn, NY.; and her grandchildren, Direesh Freeman (Maribel), Dorion Freeman (Stephanie), Cabrion Ingram, Janniah Propst, Shytavia Peterson and Ashton Gibbs (Justina).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
