He is survived by : his wife Edna Crooks Gladden of Conover; his children, Shannon Gladden of Augusta, GA and Ernestine Gladden of Augusta, GA; and his stepson Billy Crooks (Gina) of Conover.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Freedom Baptist Church (126 Sulphur Springs Rd, Hiddenite, NC 28636).
