She is survived by: her husband Roger Deal; her siblings, Maggie Young and Morris "Corky" Miller (Sharon); her sisters-in-law, Lana Craig (Ronald), Judy Hefner and Barbara Hefner (Jerry); her siblings' children, Jeremy Miller (Sandy), Mark Hefner (Becky), Kyle Hefner (Jeanne), Lindsay Miller and Ronda Manley (Michael); and her great-nephews, Solon and Levi Hefner.

Memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Conover, NC.
