It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Gonzalez Sr. of Conover, North Carolina, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Edward Gonzales; and his wife Anne Marie Gonzales. He is survived by: his son Robbie Gonzales; his sister Jill Willers; his sibling's children, Craig and Sue Willers; his great-nephew Jalen; his great-niece Emily Willers; his sibling's children, Mark and Lynsey Gonzales; his great-niece Alyssa Gonzales; his sibling's children, Jessica Rhoton and Bonnie-Lynn Crenshaw; and his great-nephews, Christopher, Jacob and Caleb Crenshaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Newton-Conover Band Boosters, PO Box 23, Newton, NC 28658.
