He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Link and Mary Piercy Link; his siblings, Marjean McMillian (Bunk), Sonya Hunter (Fred), Judy Drum (Kenneth), Vance Link and Gary Link; and his brother-in-law Larry Herman.

He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Adcox Link; his children, Brandi Link and Robbie Link (Stefani); his grandsons, Colby Link of Hickory and Joshua Link of Hickory; his sisters, Mary Jo Herman of Mississippi and Tommie Ann Hall (Keith) of Conover; and his sister-in-law Brenda Link of Lenoir. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
