He is survived by: his wife Cathy Ellis Lyons; his daughter Tracy Lyons Suggs (Jonathan); his granddaughter Ariana of Valdese; and his brothers, Billy Lyons of Elizabethton, TN and Roger Lyons of Johnson City, TN.
A reception will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
