With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Reinhardt Holbrook of Conover, North Carolina, born in Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Reinhardt and Rebekah Reinhardt (Phillips); her brother William "Bill" Reinhardt; and her husband Donnie Ray Holbrook. She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda Moose (Brandon) of Newton and Rebekah Laney (Michael) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Zachary Moose, Hannah Grace Moose, Charlotte Laney and Gibson Laney; and her sister-in-law Alisa Hicks (Gary) of Conover. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the SECU Family House in Chapel Hill (123 Old Mason Farm Road Chapel Hill, NC 27517 http://www.secufh.org.) or Carolina Caring of Catawba County (3975 Robinson Road Newton, NC 28658 http://www.carolinacaring.org.), in honor of Susan's life and the compassionate care these organizations provided her and her family.
