She was predeceased by: her parents, Hillary Propst and Ola Propst; her husband Freeman Shearin; her son Jay Shearin; her grandson Michael Greene; and her son-in-law Furman Greene.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gayle Greene of Asheboro and Debbie Reidenbach (Philip) of Statesville; her daughter-in-law Pat Shearin of Conover; and her grandchildren, Ray, Todd, Wendy, Dustin, Troy, Angie, Clint, Will, Stephanie, Shannon, Jennifer and Hayley. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
