As we bid adieu to Wanda's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Wanda has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Jenkins and Lois Carol Jenkins; and her husband Bruce Shew. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Ruff (Chuck) and Carolyn Barber (Gary); her sisters, Vickie Britt and Regina Bunting (Chuck); and her boyfriend Neal Caldwell. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burke Mortuary (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658).
