She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Fields and Ila Mae Fields; her husband Wilbur O. Coombs; and her sons, Danny and Donald.

She is survived by : her son David; her daughter-in-law Cindy; her grandchildren, Kirstie Snodderly (Bret), Taylor Coombs, Travis Coombs (Heather), Susan Coombs, Katelyn Pilley (Travis) and Keeley Coombs; and her great grandchildren, Larkin Coombs, Lorelei Coombs and Rowan Pilley.

Susan Smith wrote a sympathy message

“I was one of her mail carriers and I love her deeply, as if she was my grandma. she would always walk out and talk to me and the other mail carrier as if we were her own kids. we have to accept she's gone now. I'm going to miss stopping up there spending 5 to 15 minutes with her. If there was a few days that I did not see her I have wrote a note and put it in her box to find out what's going on. I love you Mrs Betty.you are in a good place to be taken care of well. I'm going to miss you”
