She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Sam; her parents, Marcus Augustus and Lessie Perry; her siblings, Bill and Edna; her children, Tom (Becky Morgan), Mike (Hope Morgan Ward), Phil Morgan (Susan Evans), Rick Morgan (Sue Thompson) and Perri Morgan (Tim Tyson); her grandchildren, Will, Latasha Morgan, Alston Morgan, Michael Morgan, Carson Minow, Mickey Morgan, Jason Ward, Alison Greene, Brooke, Derek Taira, Hope Tyson, Jacob Bolin, Wilma, Sam Cintron-Tyson, Leigh Morgan, Jody Rolling, James, Elaine Morgan, John Morgan, Ashton Hewitt, Kristal Reed and Clay McPherson; her great grandchild Landon Morgan; and her children, Jax, Lilly, Bubba, Kaci Rolling, Clark, AJ Mobley, Wynter Vann, Kayleigh Munden, Anna McPherson, Isabel, Ruby Cintron-Tyson, Sky Bolin, Keona, Albee, Lennox Morgan, Emily, Sam Morgan, Amos, Theo Ward and Nyla Taira. She was also cherished by 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (304 Main St, Gatesville, NC 27938). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Parkers United Methodist Church (59 Parkers Church Rd, Corapeake, NC 27926).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to The Costen Family Scholarship for a graduate of Gates County High School, the Samuel Lee and Doris Perry Morgan Scholarship at Duke Divinity School, the Methodist Home for Children, or the Albemarle Food Bank.
