She is survived by: her husband Wayne Byrum; her children, Tommy Byrum (Joy), Bubba Strickland (Ashley), Darryl Byrum (Christy), Stephanie Reppy (Ed) and David Strickland (Margaret); her grandchildren, Samantha Chappell (Alex), DJ Hondros, Evan Hondros, Marrissa Grizzle (Bryan), Victoria Campbell (Ethan), Megan Norton (Alex), Bryanna Crawford, Parker Kral (David), Catherine Byrum, Thomas Byrum (Mackenzie) and Frankie Reppy (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Juliann Chappell, Alessandra Norton, Anezka Kral, Harlow Burkhart, David Kral, Samuel Norton, Lucy Norton, Jonah Chappell, Lilah Kral, Kreelyn Phelps and Evelyn Norton; and her sister Norma Lassiter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Middle Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery (639 Middle Swamp Rd, Corapeake, NC 27926).
