He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Bumgarner and Daisy Pruitt Bumgarner; his brother Claude Bumgardner; and his pet Rascal. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Upton Bumgarner; and his sister-in-law Kaye Bumgardner.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Cavin-Cook Chapel (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (3101 S Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28081).
