David Scott La left this world on April 28, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Rue and Mary La Rue; and his siblings, Denny La Rue, Dean La Rue and Jean La Rue.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry La Rue; his son Brandon La Rue (Mira); his brother Jon La Rue (Donna); his sisters-in-law, Pamela La Rue and Vicki La Rue; and his nieces and nephews, Brian La Rue (Cristin), Cheri Cappelletti (John), Jake La Rue (Dari), Denise Wylie (David), Tammy Gonzalez (Andre) and Michelle McMullin (Ron McMullin).
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Covenant Church (17301 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grace Covenant Church or MS Happy Feet (https://events.nationalmssociety.org), as David's family has been affected by MS and it's a cause that he believed in.
