The family announces the passing of Stuart Palmer Syverson of Cornelius, North Carolina on September 12, 2026. Stuart, born on May 8, 1941 in Rumford, Rhode Island, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. Stuart will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Stuart by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Stuart is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Stuart’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Joy Syverson; and his nephew Major Paul R. Syverson III. He is survived by: his wife Gilda Morina Syverson; his brother Paul Roland Syverson of Lake Zurich, Ill.; and his cousins, Kurt Rosengren (Paula), Janet Kennedy and Joan Haskell (Gary). He is also survived by his 21 nieces and nephews, along with his numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
