Alton Young Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alton Young of Council, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2026 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alton Young to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Young and Christina Young; his son Baby Boy Young; his siblings, William Henry Young (Lucille), David Young and Geneva Jacobs (Rufus); and his brother-in-law James Vance Moore.

He is survived by: his significant other Carolyn Young; his nephew Jimmy Wayne Young; his children, Chris Young (Tammy) of Council, Alton Theron Young (Beverly) of Greensboro, Jermie Young of Council, Christina Jacobs (Felix) of Council and Bradley Jacobs (Jessica) of Council; his sister Arlene Moore of Buckhead; and his sister-in-law Barbara Young of Council. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: thirteen great-grandchildren: and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
