Janice leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Janice’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Janice will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Richard Patterson and Melane Hornick Patterson; her husband John Seay; the father of her child Mark Childree; and her nephew Chad Barnes.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Childree (Kelly) of Savannah, GA; her sister Beverly Patterson Mechling (Ron) of Gastonia, NC; her grandson Matthew Childree (Delia); her niece Christine Barnes; and her nephew Ron Mechling, Jr. (Resa).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
