It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chemis Stanfield of Creedmoor, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Baynes Stanfield of Stanfield's Stables and Margaret Chambers Stanfield; his stepmother Deloris M. Stanfield; his wife Polly H. Stanfield; his sisters, Wilba S. McCoy, Earnell S. Aiken and Frances S. Peed; and his son-in-law Gregory L. Chappell.
He is survived by : his daughters, Rhonda Stanfield and Brenda S. Chappell (Joe Watkins); his grandchildren, Caroline A. Chappell, Victoria M. Griffiths (Geoff) and Meredith L. Chappell; his nephews, Danny W. Emory and Steve S. Emory; and his caregivers, Sonya Owen and Sandra Royster.
