It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Beasley Thaxton (Creedmoor, North Carolina), who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Owen Beasley and Beatrice Beasley; her husband William Thomas Thaxton; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Faulkner and Carol Roberts.

She is survived by : her children, Nancy Adkins of Rocky Mount, Sandra Gorham (Steve) of Lewisville, Sherry McCombs (Billy) of Youngsville and Bill Thaxton (Cindy) of Creedmoor; her grandchildren, Emily Adkins, Jonathan Gorham Morgan, Andrew Gorham, Shelly Thaxton, Jared Thaxton (Lauren) and Ben Thaxton (Brittney); and her siblings, Celia Kierzewski (Howard) of Mine Run, VA, Florence Sondys of Chesapeake, VA and Sam Beasley (Pat) of Durham. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, or to her Open-Door Sunday School Class at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, P.O.
