He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Griffin and Vera Griffin; his brothers, Lloyd Griffin, Ronald Griffin and Jerry Griffin; his sister-in-law Jewel Griffin; and his granddaughter Katherine Letitia Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Joyner Griffin; his children, Sandra Griffin Cole of Wilmington, NC and Mark Griffin (Tish) of Raleigh, NC; his granddaughter Molly Griffin Brown (Ian Brown) of Greenville, NC; his nieces and nephews, Steve Griffin, David Griffin, Donna Ball and Dawn Coleman; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Griffin and Ramona Griffin.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Carolina Memorial Gardens (102 Moss Rd, Creedmoor, NC 27522).
