She was predeceased by: her parents, Brotherton Allen and Katie Pierce Allen; her stepfather Earl Saunders; and her brothers, Walter, James and Henry Allen.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Dylan Loyd, Dalton Loyd and Kallyn Brown; her sons, D. J. Loyd and Chris Loyd; and her siblings, Donald Allen (Dorothy), Richard "Ricky" Allen (Tonia), Willie Allen (Sharron), Louis Allen, Betty Ferguson and Ann Goss (David). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nita's memory to the Granville County Animal Shelter.
