He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard McCarty and Stella Sexton McCarty. He is survived by: his children, Matthew McCarty of Roanoke, VA, Michael Hudgins (Leslie) of Roanoke, VA, Lisa Osborne (Jamie) of Creston and Shawn Wright (Steven) of Virginia; and his brothers, Barry McCarty of Virginia and Steven McCarty of Florida. He is also survived by three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
