He was predeceased by: his parents, Fieldon Smith and Danford Price Osborne; and his siblings, Glenn, Clyde, James, Dale, Clay Osborne, Gladys Patrick, Elena Johnson and Norma Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Owens Osborne; his son Bryce Osborne (Cara Leigh) of Boone; and his grandsons, Daniel Bryce Osborne of Raleigh and Matthew Lee Osborne (Melissa) of Aiken, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
