It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loyd Cox of Creston, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Cox and Esther Mayberry Cox; his siblings, Carl Cox, Rodger Cox and Chessie Eldreth; and his son-in-law James Herman Patrick, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Lois Vanover Cox; his daughters, Ann Farmer (Danny) of Creston, NC, Jane Oliver (Ralph) of Creston, NC and Penny Patrick of Creston, NC; his siblings, Lillian Calhoun (Earl) of Crumpler, NC, Bill Cox (Kaye) of Warrensville, NC and Walter Cox (Roda) of Creston, NC; his sister-in-law Louise Cox of Creston, NC; his uncle Leonard Cox of Creston, NC; his grandchildren, Crystal Medley (Eric), Johnny Farmer (Rachel), Jessica Murphy, Jimmy Patrick and Amy Dillard (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Jacob Medley, Emmaline Farmer, Miles Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Atalie Dillard and Ivy Dillard.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Pond Mountain Fire Department.
