Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ruby Pennington of Creston, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 76, on November 23, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Lee and Phyllis Farmer Osborne; her husband Thomas E. Pennington; and her brother Randy Lee Osborne. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Pennington (Connie) of Jefferson and Renee "Na" Pennington (Troy) of Creston; her siblings, Carl Osborne (Linda) of Jefferson, Richard Osborne (Rachel) of Wilkesboro, Darrell Osborne (Barb) of Creston, Chimps Osborne (Anita) of Creston and Sis Osborne; her sister-in-law Tammy Osborne of Creston; and her grandchildren, Tiffany McNeill (Justin), Zack Bare and Noah Pennington. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gillespie Community Church (149 E Big Springs Rd, Lansing, NC 28643). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the Perry Cemetery (1497 Bear Wallow Rd, Lansing, NC 28643).
