He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen A. Davenport and Virginia Dare White Davenport; and his brothers, James "Jimmy" Davenport, Teddy "Ted" Davenport and Reginald "Reggie" Davenport, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Spear Davenport; his children, Don Wayne Davenport, Jr. (Christian) of Red Oak and Machelle Robbins (Douglas) of Red Oak; his grandchildren, Kayla Davenport (Weston Caldwell), Maiya Davenport (James Oglesby), Austin Davenport, Julia Robbins and Jodi Robbins; and his great grandchild Ivy Oglesby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don's memory to Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
