Rena Mae Phelps Sexton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2025, Rena Mae Phelps Sexton of Creswell, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Preston Woodley Sexton; her parents, Milton Phelps and Alethia Allen Phelps; her son Tony Sexton; and her siblings, Ethel Overton, Mildred Nadeau, Milton Harold Phelps, Sid Phelps, Harry Thomas Phelps and Jerry Lee Phelps.
She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Sexton of Creswell, NC and Bart Sexton of Goldsboro, NC; her grandchildren, Stetson Sexton (Alexis), Justin Sexton (Traci), Jordan Sexton (Gabby), Jared Sexton and Presley Sexton; her siblings, Mary Coburn, John Phelps (Peggy) and Larry Wayne Phelps (Cindy); and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Phelps and Ruth Phelps. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Philippi Church of Christ (74 Old Cherry Rd, Creswell, NC 27928). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
