She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Hicks and Ruby Guy Hicks; and her granddaughter Macie Cassandra Buchanan. She is survived by: her husband Max Wayne Greene; her children, Greg Greene (Brenda Nelson) of Collettsville, NC and Andrea Buchanan (Ronald) of Newland, NC; her grandsons, Tyler Buchanan (Lacey) of Spruce Pine, NC, Dawson Buchanan of Columbus, GA, Mason Greene of Collettsville, NC, Silas Buchanan of Newland, NC and Eli Buchanan of Newland, NC; her great grandchildren, Kasen, Finley and Etta; and her sisters, Geraldine Tester of Beech Creek, NC and Marlene Henson of Beech Creek, NC..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Crossnore First Baptist Church (220 Crossnore Dr, Newland, NC 28657). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
