He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lockee Shuford Tate; his children, Robin Shuford Wilent (Jimmy), Ginger Shuford Beam (Tim), Christopher Tate and James Paul Tate, Jr. (Wanda); his grandchildren, Leslie Tate, Carla Tate Steele (Justin), Haley Wilent Werran (Jon), Cayce Beam, Jennifer Wilent Allison Beam (Chris), Alisha Tate (Jason), Miranda Tate McCoy (Justin) and Kyle Wilent; his great grandchildren, Carolina Bingham, Raelyn Black, Brystol Black, Tateleigh McCoy, Hadlyn Chan, Brock Steele (Sam), Lucas Steele, Dakota Werran, Kieran McCoy, Grayson Werran, Dawson Christianson and Colton Chan; and his great great grandchild Harper Steele.
