He was predeceased by : his parents, T. C. Wilson and Lela Trantham Wilson; and his siblings, R. O. Wilson (Ruth) of Cullowhee, Azalea Wilson of Charlotte and Elease Landreth (D. C.) of Etowah.

He is survived by : his wife Hilda Taylor Wilson; his sons, Gregory E. Wilson (Carrie) of Mooresville and Matthew L. Wilson (Kristy) of Cullowhee; and his grandchildren, Zack Wilson of Cullowhee and Lauren Wilson of Mooresville.
