Doris Mulkey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mulkey of Dallas, North Carolina, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Giles Truett and Margaret Truett; and her significant other David Herron. She is survived by: her children, Jeffery "Todd" Chatham and Teresa Penland (Ricky); her sister Bertha Lee Pace; her grandsons, Justin Penland and Max Penland (Alicia); and her great grandchildren, Emilia, Harvey and Oakley Penland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
