He is survived by: his wife Pam Griffin McPeters; his children, Crystal, Jenny Leggette (Joe), Matthew Hefner (Meghan) and Sonya Aguilar; his grandchildren, Braxton, Ezequiel, Maddison and Maddox; his siblings, Timothy McPeters (Sharon) and Patricia Burnett (Jimmy); and his close friends, Tommy, Beth Stewart, Kim, Renae and Luke Auten.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dallas Church of God (311 S College St, Dallas, NC 28034). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (1462 Armstrong Ford Rd, Belmont, NC 28012).
