It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Reep Costner (Dallas, North Carolina), who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Franklin Costner, Sr.; and her siblings, Jim Reep, Betty Houser and Mary Craig. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Smith (Phillip), Randy Costner (Wendy) and Clyde "Frankie" Costner, Jr. (Robin); her grandchildren, Ethan Smith (Jess), Caleb Costner (Mikayla), Seth Costner, Hunter Costner, Harli Araya (Andreas) and Donna Cress (Adam); her great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Blakelynn, Ben, Kinsley, Laney, Sawyer, Lucas, Liam, Eli, Marley and Charles; and her siblings, Dean Reep (Vickie), Ray Reep (Patty), Robert Reep, David Reep (Annette) and Lorraine Hersman (Rodney).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034, Special heartfelt thank-you to her caregivers, Tera Jones, Melissa Welch and Angie Bumgardner.
