It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Olivia Creasman (Dallas, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Benny Creasman; her parents, Frank Grant and Elsie Smith; her daughters, Rhonda Phifer and Nena Gonzalez; her sisters, Mary Lou Setzer and Brenda Rice; her grandchildren, Josh Phifer and Logan Vellers; and her son-in-law Joe Vellers.

She is survived by: her children, Benjie Creasman, Nita McFee (Ronnie) and Quita Vellers; her grandchildren, Chris McSwain (Rebecca), Neil McSwain (Kyrie), Samantha Gonzalez, Tabitha Gonzalez, Jeremy Helms (Melody), Callie Smith (Cody), Kayla Creasman and Austin Butler; and her caregiver Carolyn Huffman. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle (2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery (2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034). A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the same location.
