He is survived by: his parents, Donald Whitney of Dallas, NC and Joy Whitney; his sister Virginia "Ginny" Tack (Richard) of York, SC; his grandmother Margaret Ammons of Mocksville, NC; his aunt Sharon Sterling of Mocksville, NC; his uncles, David Whitney (Margaret) of Stafford, VA and John Mark Ammons (Rachel) of Birmingham, AL; his close friend Zackary Uribe of Dallas, NC; and his nephew Gabriel "Gabe" Tack.
