She was predeceased by: her parents, James Miles Hicks and Ollie Jane Woods Hicks; her husband William Lester "Sonny" Roberson; and her sisters, Martha Short, Lillie Sanders, Mildred Biddix and Sarah Roberson.
She is survived by: her sons, Geoffrey Roberson (Holly) of Danbury and William Lester Roberson Jr. (Gwen) of Raleigh; and her brother Luther Hicks of Fallston. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (445 Tot Dellinger Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
