We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2025, at the age of 87, Betsy Payne Hudson of Davidson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Addison Lee and Clara Thomas Payne; her husband William "Billy" Landon Hudson; her sisters, Betty Jane Payne and Nancy Carol Payne; and her siblings-in-law, Rev. Emmett Hiatt and Mary Hudson Hiatt.

She is survived by: her daughter Amanda; her nephews, David Hiatt (Judy) of Kernersville and Emmett (Ernie); her great-niece Megan Hiatt Smith (Travis) of Calabash; her friends, Mary Frisbee, Erlene Newton, David, Judy Hiatt, John, Sharon Sides (Carolyn Bell), Oak Hill Friends, Todd, Jann, Jay and Lauren Gerock; and also Randall.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service (1015 Eastchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 2001 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Oak Hill Friends Meeting, 2001 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262 or Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262.

“We will miss Betsy and her lovely smile for us each time we would visit our “home” church, Oak Hill Friends. She (and Billy) have been pillars of Oak Hill for many, many years.
