He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Tickle and Lucy Johnson O'Brien; his wife Teresa Johnson Tickle; and his sister Donna Shelton. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Simmons (James) and Billy Tickle, Jr.; his brother Buddy Tickle; and his grandchildren, Keith Pegram, Blake Tickle, Kaylee Caudle, Zander Humble, Allen Simmons, Logan Simmons and Megan Lambeth.
